A wonderful collection of invented crank letters and commentary by Charles Isaacs.
Charlie Isaacs (1914- 2002) was a well know comedy writer for Radio, Television, Film, and Stage. His credits range from the Al Jolson Show, the Johnny Carson Show, to Groucho Marx.
Each 'Crank Letter', has a different target: "The Senator, "The Ex-Wife", "The Landlord", and many others. Each is accompanied by delightful illustrations by William Biff McGuire, most well known for his work on TV, Film, Radio and Tony award winning Broadway productions.
The 'Afterword', by Sir Roger Moore, formerly James Bond 007, is a lovely tribute, and contextualizes Isaacs' work for audiences that never knew this largely hidden-from-view writer of some of America's favorite shows and movies.
